Last week, we traveled to Maryland for our Annual National Sales Meeting 2025, and Awards Gala. Read on for a recap of our top goals and shoutouts to those who consistently break molds.

Since Spartan’s inception in 2007, we’ve worked hard to maintain the positive company culture to which we attribute so much of our success. Now, nearly 18 years later,  we stand as a national company spanning 48 states and employing over 250 team members, but the determination to keep our culture remains unwavering. It’s trips like these that remind us who we are as a whole, showcase the ever-growing number of people we can lean on for support, and energize us all to continue the grind.

  • EDUCATION: Informative breakout sessions lead by our peers.
  • SERVICE: Leaders in healthcare design Susan Suhar, Design Principal at HDR, and Erika Turckes, Assistant Director of Interiors and Architectural Design at University of Chicago Medicine, gave meaningful insight at our Fireside Chat led by Mike Blasek.
  • FUTURE: Spartan leaders Joe Blodgett, Mike Blasek, and Keith Lacognata spoke on where we’ve been and how far we can go when we work together.
  • PERSPECTIVE:  Jacky Daly‘s Sales Workshop left our team energized and motivated.
Erika Turckes and Susan Suhar (virtually) join Spartan Surfaces for a Fireside Chat about healthcare design and product needs, hosted by Spartan VP of Sales Mike Blasek.

The Spartan Difference

Throughout the night, speakers emphasized the importance of Spartan culture. Award winners shared the sentiment that Spartan feels less like a workplace and more like a family. Whether it’s a pat on the back, a word of encouragement, or a helping hand, the “We Over Me” mindset remains at the heart of everything Spartan stands for.

As one award winner put it, “What an unbelievable thing it is to love your job, to get up every day and really like what you do. It’s because of you… every single one of you.”

With Salesmaster and Great Northern unifying under Spartan Surfaces, the team is more excited than ever for what lies ahead. As one Spartan puts it, “We’re just getting started. This is really the beginning of what we’re getting ready to do.”

Here’s to another year of breaking barriers in flooring, achieving greatness, and building a stronger Spartan family.
