MAGNET, a Media and Games Network a facility, was launched in the fall of 2013 by New York University in Brooklyn’s MetroTech Center. A multi-school facility that brings together faculty from across NYU whose research and teaching bridge technology and culture through the study of games. For the first time, faculty working in complementary fields at Tisch, Steinhardt, Courant, and NYU-Poly have a collaborative space in which to share resources and forge connections in the study of games as a creative art form. Located on the 8th floor of 2 MetroTech Center in Brooklyn, the newly renovated space includes 40,000 feet of offices, studio and work spaces, teaching labs, and common research areas.
