Winning Never Felt SO Good

On Tuesday, March 6th, 2018 Spartan founder, Kevin Jablon, presented Harford Family House's Resource Development Manager, Heather Lynch, with a check for $6,250.00.  Winning a virtual football game has never felt quite so good!  Countless hours spent - from draft to super bowl - was more than worth it.

In the Fall of 2016, Floor Covering News kicked off its Fantasy Football for a Cause League, which raises money for various local and national charities.  The league invites all industry members – retailers, distributors, manufacturers – to get involved by selecting a charity of their choice to be the benefactor of any winnings they are awarded.

FCNews announced year two of the annual charitable league in July of 2017 and Spartan was excited to get involved.  Striving to give back to their local community, Spartan dedicated its team to Harford Family House.  Harford Family House (HFH) helps families and unaccompanied young adults who are experiencing homelessness, transition into permanent/stable housing. In addition to shelter for families, the organization provides education in life skills, job readiness and personal growth, individualized case management to help families overcome the root cause of their homelessness, referrals to partner agencies and personal connection to the community.

Spartan’s CFO, Adam Gable took the lead on managing the fantasy team and came out with a huge win for Harford Family House.

“I’ve never been more excited to pick up the phone,” states Meredith Nicholson of Spartan.  “Hearing Heather’s surprise and excitement as I read the amount aloud, she said ‘WOW! That will really make a difference!’.”
