Spartan Makes Giving An Annual Tradition

Following months of organization with United Way of Central Maryland, Spartan strived to provide an experience like no other for 20 Harford County families. With the help of United Way and Magnolia Elementary, on December 6th, 2017, we took 45 children and their families on a field trip to Dave + Buster’s for gaming fun, and ended their day with Junior Knight Training and dinner at Medieval Times Dinner + Tournament.

Faces lit up while playing air hockey, and children filled their bags with toys they bought with their playing points at Dave + Buster’s. We watched (and filmed) one of our Spartans growl loudly, wooden sword in hand, fighting off enemies in Medieval Times’ Junior Knight Training because one child in her family didn’t want to go alone. We helped hold bags as several Spartans carried sleeping children off the bus after a long and exhausting fun filled day. We felt the hugs from parents, thanking us for a wonderful day they’ll remember, more than we ever prepared ourselves for.

The day came and went as quickly as it had the year before, but we each have moments we’ll treasure forever. Thankfully, Jen Snyder Design captured many of those moments for us. Check below for the best parts of our Second Annual Charity Event.

We couldn’t have done this event without the help and support from these organizations. Thank you!
