Internal Advancements for the Betterment of All

You may see our reps rolling day-in and day-out in your region, but there’s a lot going on behind the scenes to keep this group on their A game.  Read on for some updates on how we roll internally and feel free to reach out to give these worthy employees a high five on their promotions.

Spartan’s only as strong as the suppliers we bring to market.  To support these relationships, our supplier relations team is growing.  Three years ago, a team of one – today, a team of eight.  Here’s how it’s growing! Leading the pack, Joey Lester has been promoted to Vice President of Supplier Relations.  Day to day, Joey is managing and advocating for the best of the best in all things product.  His Management Team consists of Elizabeth Hart, Kelly lynch and Emily Verger.  Hart and Lynch have been promoted to Manager of Supplier Relations.  Hart’s growing responsibilities include a more hands-on role in supplier communications to ensure all goals are in line, and overseeing Spartan’s East Coast showrooms – Maryland HQ, Washington DC, and NYC.  Making a shift from customer service, Lynch is excited to grow our supplier relations to better service the customers she has worked with over the past two years.  Since 2015, Verger has worked tirelessly to take Spartan’s Sample Department from good to one of the industry’s best.  Today, Emily is the Sample Department Manger leading her team of three, aptly dubbed #SpartanSquad.

On the other side of internal ops, we’re bringing together our brightest minds in finance, flooring-tech, and business intelligence. Rick Rollins, Leads + Claims Coordinator, and Adam Gable, CFO, will now work in tandem to strengthen our overall focus on product performance and market data.  Rollins, who spent the last two and half years developing and launching Spartan’s CRM, is now doubling down on duties. From tech questions to claims, Rollins will be dropping knowledge and solving problems alongside our product team lead, Joey Lester.

Rounding out the advancements, one of Spartan’s OGs, Meredith Nicholson, is stepping up from Marketing Director to VP of Marketing. Nicholson has spearheaded Spartan’s marketing strategy since 2011 and now manages a dream team of two including Lexi Wright and Chis Judd.  Web, social, events, branding - you name it. This team is ready to create and innovate.

Sadly, these exciting transitions also come with a goodbye to one of Spartan’s best. Making a move to be closer to family, Jeremy Whipple will be transitioning from Spartan Surfaces to AVA by Novalis as VP of Commercial Business Development. We are thankful this role allows Spartan to continue working closely with Whipple, making this transition a “See You Soon,” rather than “Goodbye.”
